Underpinning

D'Angelo Bros., Inc. has vast experience in difficult foundation underpinning projects.  Our engineers and expert field personnel have successfully and safely completed complex projects such as the underground MRI addition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, involving completely underpinning and tying back surrounding multi-story buildings with concrete underpinning and tiebacks to depths of 35 feet.

In 1997 when the Academy of Music completed a major building renovation, they employed us to underpin the stage house and new orchestra pit, mostly completed during the overnight, beginning work after the orchestra completed its performances.  

The company recently completed the deep foundation excavation and underpinning required for the 10 Rittenhouse Condominium Project on a narrow and restricted site on the corner of 18th and Sansom Streets in Center City Philadelphia.
